Mirabelle Ho, PhD

Director, Vascular and Regenerative Medicine Research Program

Mirabelle received her PhD in regenerative medicine from Monash University, Australia. Her doctoral thesis focused on correlating the function and phenotype of pluripotent stem cells such as human embryonic stem cells and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). She received a Canadian Vascular Network Award during her postdoctoral years where she focused on the differentiation of iPSCs into vascular cell types which were then used in both bioengineering and disease-modeling studies. Mirabelle joined the CReATe Fertility Centre in 2019 as the Director of Vascular and Regenerative Medicine Program. Ongoing research interests involve the use of hiPSC-derivatives to understand the impact of maternal lifestyle choices on the developing foetus’s vasculature across multiple organ systems and how this impacts development and regeneration.
